Well, after a hardware failure (Murphy’s Law) and a messed up SVN repository (Our foul up!), we are managing to overcome and get this release out the door! Version 1.7 offers the following new features:
TransformStudio Transform Parameters – These are XSL-runtime parameters. Meaning you can pass an unlimited amount of parameters to the transforms. This will be useful in choosing and sorting specific elements within stylesheets. This was a hotly requested powerful feature. A lot of time on this release was spent on making the user experience with this feature as intuitive as possible. If there’s something you’re looking for to improve your experience, please let us know through our Generate Support Request feature or Contact form on the Contact page.
Shortcode TransformParameters – This allows one to embed the transformparameters attribute within a shortcode, allowing you to pass as many transform parameters as you want. Useful for creating versions of posts and pages using the same query interface within different results set to display to your readers. The idea was to make it as quick and dirty as possible without sacrificing reliability or speed.
Improvements to HTTP Basic Auth – Just some improvements and unknown potential failures that could possibly cause a no response. Reliability is key here.
Improvements to Stylesheet Generation – There were some unknown things that popped up during the Version 1.6 release that we need to take care of to improve the user experience.
Anyway, I hope that you are enjoying the XData Toolkit. Feel free to drop suggestions to help us build a better product.
